Beer Bottle Cozy Generator
A full round-by-round pattern, tapered to fit a bottle's neck — not just a stitch count.
Why a bottle cozy needs shaping, not just a tube
A plain straight tube fits a can, but a bottle narrows sharply at the neck — this generator works the body at full circumference, tapers down with evenly spaced decreases exactly like a hat crown, then continues straight at the neck circumference so the cozy actually hugs the bottle's shoulder instead of gapping open at the top.
This is worked bottom-up, in continuous rounds
Chain the full body circumference first, work the body straight, taper through the shoulder, then finish with a few straight rounds at the neck. Join and chain 1 at the start of each round, or work in a continuous spiral without joining if you prefer — either way, the stitch counts stay the same.
Measure the actual bottle if you can
Bottle shapes vary more between brands than cans do — wrap a tape measure around the body and again around the neck where you want the cozy to end, rather than trusting the presets exactly, especially for a bomber or a wine bottle where shapes vary widely.
