How to use these dimensions
These are commonly used starting points, not fixed rules — actual finished sizes vary by pattern, yarn weight, and personal preference, and ranges are given where standard sizing itself varies (a "throw blanket" isn't a single fixed size the way a twin bed is). Use the dimension you want as the target in the Yardage Estimator or Knitting Yardage Estimator to get a skein estimate, or in the Project Planner for a fuller stitch/row/time estimate.
